This is a post that has me choked up and truly displays the type of organization I work for and the company Vermont Smoke & Cure is. The team we have. I just found out that a member of our D2 shift (who's daughter and son-in-law served together and met in the Army and are now a part of the American Legion) organically spread the word about a care package for soldiers being deployed around Thanksgiving.  18 teammates found out about this package and donated their quarterly free carton to this cause and then some. This led to enough product for a Christmas shipment to also be made for 28 soldiers deployed to Syria. With grateful tears I recognize this wonderful group and our soldiers and look forward to helping quadruple this amount next time.  This is the holiday spirit. We celebrated #givingtuesday this month by donating over 700 sticks to 6 Vermont organizations. Moreover it is our culture to continuously do this with purpose and intention. Every month we donate to a handful of local organizations, year to date we have donated over 9 thousand meat sticks. #community #giveback
