The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation was created to provide Vermonters with the information and financing needed to pursue education or training beyond high school. VSAC offers Vermont's 529 college savings program; career and college information and counseling; need-based state grants; many public and private scholarships; and private student loans. In 2012, VSAC became a nonprofit servicer of federal education loans that the government provides directly to students and parents.
